The Goals for Life Copa Gastronômica embodied a series of dinners that reunited renowned chefs of Brazil and abroad who worked on publicize typical dishes of Brazilian gastronomy. The proceeds raised supported the scientific research projects developed by the Pequeno Príncipe Complex and were applied on acquisition of supplies and equipments, besides of operational budgets of the Pelé Pequeno Príncipe Research Institute.
US-based citizens could contribute to the child-adolescent health cause thanks to a partnership with The Resource Foundation. By this means, the Pequeno Príncipe could increase its network, making its activities public and making possible the international community support through utilization of tax benefits.
The event took place in Curitiba, São Paulo, Paris, New York City, and Rio de Janeiro between 2011 and 2014, celebrating the FIFA World Cup that occurred in Brazil.
The success of Goals for Life Copa Gastronômica inspired the creation of Goals for Life Gala – Pequeno Príncipe, a project idealized with support of the chef Letícia Krause. The annual event happens in New York City every other year and others cities in the world.
